5 Tools to Boost Your Instagram

With trends on the rise, how do you stay on top of them? How do you keep up with other businesses and influencers? There is much more to “just posting” to grow your platforms. Here are five tips to help you boost engagement and brand awareness.

1. Find Trending Audios

If you are interested in reels, find what is trending and what is not. You can use any sound, but you can find audio that is trending or on the rise. When watching a reel, you can see the audio name at the bottom left corner. It is trending if it has an arrow pointing up 45 degrees to the right. Especially if one audio has duplicate sounds, this will help to see which duplicate is doing the best.

2. Edit Reels Within the App

When editing reels within the app, Instagram is likelier to promote that video in their algorithm. You may film it on your camera and then upload it for editing on Instagram. This could include adding text, sound, effects, etc. You will also gain more engagement through original work rather than remixing other account’s posts.

3.  Keep It Simple

Did you know that Instagram used to use the first 30 hashtags that you listed? That is still the maximum number of hashtags, but it is recommended to use 3-5, which will assist you in receiving the most engagement and reach. Instagram may take it as spam when using too many hashtags, and your engagement will decrease. Also, when creating reels, it is recommended videos to  5 – 15 seconds for the best results. With the attention span decreasing in society, a hook and a quick video will increase views and your reach.

4. Reels Get More Reach Than Photo Posts

Many User-Generated Content (UGC) creators preach about this. More and more Instagram users are watching your reels because it is catching their attention. According to Influencer Marketing Hub, reels had the highest reach of 33.8%, while image posts had 29.9% and carousel posts had 22.4%. It is still good to have a balance of photo posts and reels but take advantage of the reel algorithm about once a week for fresh eyes to see your account.

5. Schedule Posts During YOUR Peak Points

Your Instagram account is yours and not anyone else’s. The best way to see your posts when followers see them is on Meta Business. This is a Meta site where you can simultaneously post on Facebook and Instagram. You may also see your statistics, such as reach, follower regions, paid ads, ages, sexes, etc. When scheduling your post, it will ask what day and suggest times for each day depending on when the majority looks at your content. This will help you have the most engagement and reach. You also learn more about your audience and how to market to them.

With these five tips, it will assist you in growing your Instagram platform. It may seem a lot initially, but be bold, take small steps, and test the water with different ideas.
